During the riding trip, we will be guided by a local gaucho (Patagonian cowboy), with whom we will cross native woods and grasslands to reach the top.
Day 2:Hiking to Granite Towers (Las Torres)
We will pick you up from the hotel in Puerto Natales early in the morning, and we'll head to Torres del Paine National Park in private transfer. We'll leave the car at the trail head and start a 7-8 hour hike, which leads us to the base of the three granite towers, “Las Torres del Paine.”
During the approximately 3-hour hike, we'll traverse a relatively mild terrain of peaks and valleys, until we reach the Towers Campsite. From there, the trail continues for another hour along a steep slope with stone steps. Then we will reach the foothills of the three towers, which rise vertically 3300 ft, in front of a glacial pond. We'll rest and contemplate the breath taking view. Then, we'll return by the same trail back to the beginning and sleep at a nice hut.
Day 3: Road trip and ferry to Pehoe Lake
We will start our morning very relax with great time to sleep and rest. After the breakfast we will start a road trip through this amazing park with awesome views of the horns (Cuernos del Paine) and wild life. Then we will take the ferry along Pehoé lake. We will enjoy breath taking views of Los Cuernos del Paine and waterfalls while we navigate to our next hut across beautiful emerald waters.
Day 4: French valley
We will walk about 2½ hours to Italian Camp, the entry point of the French Valley. From here the terrain becomes more rugged, because the valley entrance is made up of a glacial moraine consisting of huge boulders. This demanding part of the walk will last about 1½ hours, at which point we will reach stunning views of this natural amphitheatre valley surrounded by imposing granite walls. We will also have wonderful views of Paine Grande (3,050 m), the highest peak in Paine Range and their amazing hanging glaciers like the French Glacier. It certainly an impressive moment when a large block of ice falls deep inside the valley producing a mighty roar.
We head back along the same trail to our hut.
Day 5: Grey Glacier
Hike to Grey Glacier lookout. The trail goes through the western side of the Paine Massif with views to Grey Lake and Mountains. After 1 hour and a half you will reach the first lookout point, where you may observe Grey Glacier in the distance. After 2 hours you will get to the main lookout, in front of the glacier. The return will be by a ferry boat by Grey Lake, where our transport will be waiting for us to take you back to Puerto Natales.
